2006 - TrafficCast International, Inc. the leader in real-time and
predictive traffic data and analysis and Manning NavComp, a premier
software and system integrator for mobile asset management and vehicle
tracking, today announce a broad technology development and product
licensing agreement to integrate TrafficCast International's real-time
traffic data with Manning NavComp's industry-leading dispatch and
logistics management solutions.
Since 1993, NavComp's RASTRAC® Automatic Vehicle Location software has
been chosen by both governments and industries alike as the most
flexible tracking solution on the market. TrafficCast, which aggregates
real-time information from over 350 data sources will now provide
normalized data feeds and sophisticated traffic impact modeling tools
for RASTRAC clients.
With this agreement, the companies aim to add to the value of mobile
asset tracking with real-time traffic conditions, enabling clients to
more efficiently and productively route their vehicles and coordinate
deliveries. Initial markets include Dallas, Houston and the State of New
Jersey.
